Port of Bandon Brownsfield Project for Port of Bandon, Bandon,
Oregon.
As a participant in the Port of Bandon Brownfields Project ES&A
is conducting natural resources investigations complying with the
Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Guidance for Ecological
Risk Assessment Level I Scoping. Tasks include conducting
background and field review of the biological and ecological components
of each of the sites, coordination with Eco-risk Assessors in order
to fulfill the guidance requirements, and preparation of Level I
Site Ecology Scoping Report.
Rhone-Poulenc
(RPAC) Site for AMEC Earth & Environment, Portland, Oregon.
Providing assessment of biological (wildlife) receptors that may
be impacted by contaminants of concern at North Doane Lake, adjacent
to the Rhone-Poulenc (RPAC) site in Portland, Oregon. Project work
includes preparing a site assessment work plan, assessing for the
presence of sensitive species (i.e., northern red-legged frogs and
northwestern pond turtle), and evaluating the suitability of North
Doane Lake habitat for other sensitive native bird, mammal and herptiles.
Information will be utilized in the Level I and Screening Level
II Ecological Risk Assessments for the RPAC site.
Mitsubishi
Silicon America Sulfuric Acid Spill Investigation, Salem, Oregon.
Conducted a site evaluation of Pringle Creek that was affected by
an accidental sulfuric acid spill from the Mitsubishi Silicon America
(MSA) facility. Site evaluation included assessment of stream biologic
and physical conditions, collection and laboratory analysis of leaf
tissue samples from vegetation exposed to the spill, and assessment
of wildlife potentially affected by the spill. Prepared a report
documenting site conditions and provided remedial actions. Coordinated
closely with the Pringle Creek Watershed Council to address local
stakeholder concerns.
